Uplift
For a long time, my art was heavy-- heavy thoughts, somber pieces, weighty subjects. After working through these pieces, I truly did find a lot of joy-- I found I love being whimsical and having a good laugh. I especially loved that I could bring a big smile to others as well-- the power of art to bring positivity!

Introspection
I worked through a lot in this series. I hope this empowers you to work through your journey as well, if you are embarking on one! It's tough changing from what you know, what you think others expect of you. It's even harder to believe that it's okay to let go. This series explores some of my journey of pursuing what I love instead of what was expected. I also grappled with how my Chinese heritage impacts me in the American society that largely side steps Asian heritage in societal discussions.

Weighty
Wearables
I discovered Jewelry and Metals early on at the Cleveland Institute of Art. For me, this was a joyous blend of sculpture, multimedia, chaotic order. There is something romantic about wearable art!
